You
love your fists, they must taste awfully yummy! We actually think you are
teething. The drool has started and I swear I can see your front right tooth
under the gum trying to come down. Don't grow up so fast Owie!
You've gotten your first cold. I am so sad for you. It makes it so hard to breathe and especially when you are nursing. I've had to spray you with saline solution and use the blue bulb to suck the goop from your nose. You hate it and I don't blame you a bit, but it works so I have to do it.
I keep writing about your fat legs, but I can't help it! They just keep getting fatter and fatter.
We have lots of Owie songs we sing:
"Don't be sad my Owie-o, don't be sad my Owie."
"He's an O-O-Owie, he's an O-O-Owie, he's an O-O-Owie-Owie-O.""I love me some O-we-O, I love me some Owen. I love me some O-we-O-we-O, I love me some O-we."
"O my Owen, o my boy, o my sweet sweet Owen."
Each line sung over and over and over and over again as we bounce and pace endlessly on the floors.

You are stubborn Owie, that's all there is to it. If you don't want something,
or don't want something there is no changing your mind. Trust me, I have used
every trick in my pocket to appease you and there is no appeasing until you
decide you are ready.
I took you to Sears for your 3 month pictures and that was a hellish trip. We had gone early to shop at the mall and you just cried and fussed the whole time. I had to hold you the entire time while pushing your 40 lb brother in the double stroller. Um, that was not fun. You wouldn't even go in the sling, I was so ready to just walk in and cancel our appointment. But all of a sudden when I changed your outfit and diaper you got happy. So we persevered. And the guy did a great job. We only got 4 poses before you melted but you smiled in some of them and that was way more than I had hoped for. So I was happy. But just goes to show, just when I think I've got your number, you pull a new one on me.
You love your bath. Love it. It calms you like nothing else. When I take you out of the bath your whole body curls up, your face scrunches up and you cry like you were just born, like I had ripped you from the womb.
You are so big. Every morning you look bigger to me. I see your dad holding you and I wonder how you got so big. Weren't you just tucked in his arm? Now you are this huge armful - two armfuls really. You are my rolly polly guy.
I love your big toothless grin, but I think those teeth are coming soon. You keep biting down when you are done nursing and I am very much not a fan of this Owen! You need to stop this and soon!
Life is always exciting. One month in Florida we were forced to evacuate in the face of hurricane Frances. Your first hurricane, your first evacuation. Probably not your last given the fact we've moved here for the long run. We've gone to Naples where friends have a condo and we're riding out the storm in comparable luxury. You are hanging in there, a bit out of sorts and we have no schedule right now, but we're alive and dry and together and that's about all we can hope for! We're just hoping the damage back home isn't too bad - we were supposed to close on our new house in 3 days, highly unlikely now, if we even have a house.
You
are sleeping in bigger chunks now, day and night. I like this trend! And when
you are awake you are the happiest little guy. Unless I miss your sleep cue
and then we are in BIG trouble. BIG.

Well Owen, I've composed a new song for you, it goes something like this"
Oh my Owie oh my O, Oh my Owie Owie. You are such an Owie O you are such an Owie. You are such a fat fat boy, you are such a fatty. You are such a chubby chubby O, you are just so chubby.
It may sound cruel but I mean it in the best way - I am so proud of your big fat baby rolls - so strong and healthy.
You love to suck on my knuckles now and the drool, oh the drool. It is everywhere.
You arch your back like mad when I am lifting you out of the carseat, you just can not wait to get out of that torture device.
You love to look at yourself in the mirror and then when you see me in the mirror with you you start to laugh and just think that that is so amazing.
I love your wide mouth laughs, there is nothing like it. Though your pursed lip look combined with your running man pose is pretty priceless as well.

We're
still struggling at times sweet Owie. You hate when your routine is messed
up! If I miss your sleep window, look out. But it is getting better. Somewhat!
You have the best laugh, sort of silly and staccato.
You make the funniest expressions sometimes, my favorite is the "you have got to be kidding me lady" look, as well as your "shy guy" look. Love them!
You can really hold things now and bring them to your mouth. I am amazed actually at how much control you have.
It cracks me up when you bring your hands to your mouth you will stop and stare at them like you have never seen them before, like they are the most amazing thing you have ever seen.
