10 Months

Not too much to report this month, more becasue I have been slacking in the journaling and note taking department. Sorry sweetie. Yes, sometimes I am a suck-mom. But I am trying hard to get back on track. Maybe if you slept through the night, I would have more time for this stuff! Or at least be more awake :)

You really don't like to share right now and get so angry if Alec takes something away from you. You are starting tantrums already and will throw yourself on the ground and just screech and screech. Banging your head, the whole 9 yards. I am in so much trouble as you get older!

You love to get massaged after your bath, you laugh and laugh as I put the lotion on you. It is one of my favorite moments, just so quintissentially baby. Love it. More O-wee love fest!

You have such stories to tell me, I wish I understood.

You understand the word "no" - if I tell you no to something you are doing you get that crestfallen sad face and then throw yourself down onto the floor in tantrum mode. "sigh"

You love balls and that is one of your first words. You say "Bah" - another first word is "Bo" for Bob the Builder. Everytime you see a Bob toy you get all excited and say "Bo Bo"

New noises like "oyoyoyoy"

You love Veggie Booty. Love it. Can;t be bothered with the Pirates Booty, but that nasty green kale stuff, you just love it. Alec too. Very weird.

Your new trick is that you can crawl down the step onto our back porch. The first couple times you tried it you fell on your face, but now you have mastered the art of careful crawling.

Your other new trick is getting yourself up to standing without any help. You just squat and then push off the floor, and eventually you stopped pushing off the floor. You just squat and stand up. And you are SO proud of yourself. You wait for our praise and then make that scrunchy face laugh. You are going to be such a stinker!

You are attempting tiny steps - that sort of lunge from one person or furniture to another. I need to tie you down. Stay my baby please!

You love the "Itsy Bisty Spider" - you sing nosense words along with me and move your hands up and around, trying to do the hand movements. And it calms you when you are fussy.

I started taking you to baby storytime at the library and you just love it. YOu listen to the stories and bop up and down to the music. But my favorite is watching you interact with the other babies. You are all crawling around and you will touch their heads, exploring these other little beings.

We did a walk for Diabetes in April and at the end of the walk was a fountain park where you and Alec had a blast going under these fountains. You are such a water baby and just love any kind of water - pool, fountain, beach!

And we did find a very cool beach nearby that is on an inlet so there is no surf. You can just sit at the edge in the sand and get caressed by the water and splash and splash. I see us spending much time there.

You love tunnels or anything you can crawl through. One of your favorite spots is in between the end table and the couch and climbing over the table legs. You are such a funny kid.

You still really like food, especially rice, beans, pasta, brocoli and ice cream sandwiches.
