Here I go again, catching up with you off of my notes.
You keep asking "how?" It is kind of driving me a little crazy! If I ask you to do something you say "how?" You seem to use it in place of "why?" and that drives me just a little bit more crazy!
You told me "I love my new house" and that made me very happy. You love to hear the story about how the worker men built your new house and are enjoying watching them finish the other houses on the street. You want to be a worker man for Halloween - shocker!
Florida is crazy and we almost always have to make a u-turn to get where we are going. Every time I make a u-turn you pipe up form the back seat - "did we forget something?" You are used to undivided highways where you can actually make left turns. Not so in Florida, just not so.
You are Bob the Builder obsessed. Like crazy obsessed. Clothes, toys, videos, etc. You even sing the theme song to yourself all the time. And if you aren't singing Bob you sing the "bebop" song. You are a funny kid.
I don't remember when you stopped calling all trucks "bobs" but now you know the name of every obscure working truck out there. A child's mind is so amazing.
When I return the library books at the book drop you call it "mailing the library books"
Your new delay tactic is "I just want to snuggle you."
You seem to have developed a new manical laugh courtesy of Pa. It is very, very loud.
You love that we are currently living amongst tons of boxes. We are opening one box marked toys a day and it is like Christmas all over again to see toys you haven't seen in 2 months. Perfect for keeping you busy! You really are a good helper and unpacker and it is all such an adventure to you.
When you talk about Hayley you call her "my friend Hayley" which I just think is so cute!
You know the name of your street and the street it is off of. You get smarter by the second kiddo.
And you are just so polite. I love to hear you say "no thank you." My little gentleman.
We went to PA to see Mimi and Grandad Jack and you were SO good on the plane trip, I could not have asked for a better traveler. Thank goodness since your brother didn't get the memo and he was a bit of a crank.
We had fun in PA, you especially loved raking leaves and then jumping in the piles - something we are lacking in Florida! We also went to a pumpkin patch where you went on a hayride with Mimi and Grandad. It was so cold! We also made a trip back up to Ithaca and visited your friend Clio and her family for a day. I miss Ithaca! You and Clio had so much fun, you hadn't forgotten each other yet and it was just like old times.
Your green booster seat came in the mail when we got back to Florida. You were so excited - you always loved Clio's purple one and now you had your own and it was GREEN - your favorite color ever! The color we will of course be painting your room too. No more highchair for you, you are in a big boy booster now!
I love to hear you say "what's the job today?"
You have now mastered "the dirty look" and I can not help but laugh.
You like to help me cook, and you ar ea good egg breaker for sure!
